Sometimes...

Sometimes....
we never be able to satisfy for everybody...
and be perfect for everybody..
we're all ordinary people, just be ourself!
observe our surrounding
just do what we can do
and... dont ever judge book by its cover...
YaALLAH,
jika aku jatuh cinta, jadikanlah cintaku kerana agama dan imannya
dan jika aku di cintai, jadikanlah ia kerana agamaku..
hidupku, matiku, ibadahku hanya kerana ALLAH

ESSAY 2: Unemployment Graduates

The increasing unemployment rate among the graduates in Malaysia is a worrying trend. The days have passed when a degree scroll can become a passport to employment. Higher education is no longer a symbol of career success. This may sound painful for graduates.

The highest unemployment was contributed by the following statistics:

1) Universiti Teknologi MARA, UiTM – 3,278 (16.2%)
2) Universiti Utara Malaysia, UUM – 1,532 (7.6%)
3)Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, UTM – 1,147 (5.7%)
4)Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, UKM – 971 (4.8%)
5)Universiti Putra Malaysia, UPM – 919 (4.5%)

There are some contributing factors:

1. Economy
The changing of the economic structure is a probable cause for the rise in the unemployment. For many years, the manufacturing has been the strongest sector in the country until it is now being progressively replaced by the services sector. The services sector requires people who do not only possess the right technical knowledge, but also those who possess the right soft skills – interpersonal, communication, wisdom, maturity and are business oriented. Now, getting graduates with that kind of quality is a tough endeavor these days. It is even hard to find graduates who can speak moderate English.

2. Quality of education
It seems that every year the country produces more and more brilliant students. This is evident with the increasing number of straight A students in SPM. It is also easier to find degree holders with first class honors. Surely, this is a good standard of the graduate’s quality.

3. Choosy job seekers
Nowadays, candidates are expecting job offer to come with a package – a good pay, convenient working location, no shift, no work beyond 6pm and so on, with everything handed in a silver platter that different with the real world.

4. Lack of guidance
Blaming the graduates themselves for the whole dilemma is not entirely right either. After all, they are products of an inconsistent system. Majority of them are oblivious to the expectation from them in the employment market. Upon graduation, they not ready to face the real world. The supposedly days of liberation suddenly becomes the days of uncertainty. This happens due to obvious difference between the education and the employment – i.e. study is study and work is work. This gap needs an immediate bridging.

5. Choosy employers
If the employer is putting working experience as a requirement to get a job, the fresh graduates will suffer to seek their first work.

ESSAY 3: Work at Home

Work at home, is popular by this time. This type of lifestyle is not for everyone. It is only for the non-average moms who have an entrepreneurial mind and are tired of the JOB life. It is very practical to that mom who is ambitious, because there are benefit for this kind of group.

1)Unlimited income potential
When you work at home, you do not have any income limits. All of the money you make is entirely based upon your effort. If your value is high, then you will make a lot of money. Imagine providing this same type of value at a job. Your boss will get at least 80% of your efforts. So in a job, your energies are wasted.

2)You control time now
You can decide at what time you wake up in the morning, how much time you work, and how much free-time you get. It is all up to you because you have no one to answer to. You know exactly how much time you need in order to be successful. Once you control your time, you can compress it so that you can work only 2-4 hours a day.

3)Work on what you like, outsource what you hate
If you don’t like to handle your company's duty, or if you do not like to answer all your customer emails, or if you do not like to write articles for your business, let someone else do it. You have focus only on the things you enjoy, and pass on all the other stuff to another person. You cannot do this with a normal job. Can you imagine being hired to do something and just hire someone else to do that work for you while keeping the profits.

4)Be your own boss
When you entitle yourself as a work at home mother, you can do whatever you feel like doing. You can take a vacation at anytime or work at home in your pyjamas. You can also decide how much to pay yourself and how much to spend it. Everything is up to you.

5)Spend more time with your family
This is by far the greatest benefit of being a work at home mommy. You can spend much more time with your kids and see them grow up. You don`t have to be like the other moms you work too hard to even know that their children exist. Your family will appreciate your friendship. Working at home will bring more happiness into everyone's life.

ARTICLE 3: The Internet Addiction

Source: http://www.netaddiction.com/

Internet Addiction is an impulsive-control problem and five subtypes have been defined:

Cybersexual Addiction – Individuals who suffer from Cybersex/Internet pornography addiction are typically engaged in viewing, downloading, and trading online pornography or involved in adult fantasy role-play chat rooms.

Cyber-Relational Addiction – Individuals who suffer from an addiction to chat rooms, IM, or social networking sites become over-involved in online relationships or may engage in virtual adultery. Online friends quickly become more important to the individual often at the expense of real life relationships with family and friends. In many instances, this will lead to marital discord and family instability.

Net Compulsions – Addictions to online gaming, online gambling, and eBay are fast becoming new mental problems in the post-Internet Era. With the instant access to virtual casinos, interactive games, and eBay, addicts loose excessive amounts of money and even disrupt other job-related duties or significant relationships.

Information Overload – The wealth of data available on the World Wide Web has created a new type of compulsive behavior regarding excessive web surfing and database searches. Individuals will spend greater amounts of time searching and collecting data from the web and organizing information. Obsessive compulsive tendencies and reduced work productivity are typically associated with this behavior.

Computer Addiction – In the 80s, computer games such as Solitaire and Minesweeper were programmed into computers and researchers found that obsessive computer game playing became problematic in organizational settings as employees spent most days playing rather than working. These games are not interactive nor played online.

According to the Stanford University School of Medicine Study, 1 out of 8 Americans suffer from Internet Addiction, 14% of respondents found it hard to abstain from Internet use for several days; 5.9% said excessive Internet use affected their relationships; 8.2% said the Internet was a means of escape from the real world. According to the Chinese Government, approximately 13 % of Chinese teenagers suffer from Internet addiction and they have banned the opening of Internet cafes for the year 2007. The Government of China funded a military-style boot camp to combat the disease. Patients are males between 14 and 19 years old.
